What a great person the world has lost but what a great angel heaven has gained. To Jeff and Family I was sad to hear that Mary has passed; she was an inspiration to anyone who met and had a chance to interact with her. Her obituary noted that she was most proud of her work on the City's Corridor Committee. I had the opportunity to work with Mary on that Committee, as well as the Intown Design Review Committee. I always found Mary to be level-headed, forthright, and able to clearly describe and express her concerns. As recently as two months ago when I was discussing a zoning issue with another group, I used a comment that Mary made at a Corridor Committee meeting over 20 years ago when we were discussing traffic concerns associated with larger retail development --- "I knew there was too much traffic in Belfast when you had to stop at the stop signs". Her statement was much more understandable and descriptive than any statistics I could dryly cite from MDOT traffic counts. Mary made many contributions to the community and Belfast is fortunate that she wanted to serve and share her passion and knowledge. Jeff & Family Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. Although it is difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, Mary will remain in your hearts forever! You will always cherish her wonderful memories. I have many fond memories of visiting your Belfast home and the curling club. Mary had such a beautiful smile that she always put a smile on my face. Jeff, Erin and family, I was saddened to learn of Mary's passing. I remember Mary from the many times we travelled to Belfast for curling. She was one of the first people we would see when we stepped in the club, with a smile on her face and a laugh to share. She always made as feel welcomed and at a home during our visits. My sincerest condolences and I hope that your memories can bring you comfort during this difficult time. Thinking of you all.

I can't imagine growing up without Mary's wisdom, good advice, unconditional love and constant reminder to be grateful for my life. I feel honored to have been able to have her in my life and know that she will be missed by so many. She definitely made this world a better place. ♥️

Mary you were a true inspiration to us all, but, your love and willingness to help will always be remembered. There are no sufficient words to describe the deep loss felt by so many lives whom Mary touched. Jeff and Erin, you were her motivation, strength and comfort for so long; Erin, your entire life. Kayla and KJ, the Joy, happiness and pride you brought to your Meme’s life is unmeasurable. I am so deeply sorry for your loss. May God comfort you and hold you close. Mary once told me, she decided long ago to be of joy, offer smiles and hope to all she could. She amazed me with her strength, determination and resilience like no one I’ve ever known. She generously taught me everything she could in business and I have always, with enormous pride, proclaimed her as my mentor and with greater pride, my friend.
