Rodney was my cousin when we were young he was always on mine and Ricks heels we spent a lot of time together fishing going to the races or just driving our parents crazy. Rodney was a good boy and my heart is broken that he was taken from us long before he passed. The pills that our wonderful medical professionals prescribe our children leave the shell of who they once were and take control leaving the family to deal with the hell that it brings. Nothing else matters to them after the hook is set. The family has to deal with it while the doctors go on vacation or get the kick backs from the drug companies. While the actions taken by what this addiction does over shadows what the person really is the cloud gets darker as they turn to other ways to continue on while inwardly crying for help. Our family has suffered enough with this as do many others that do not want to admit it. Rodney was a good loving caring man that was dealing with a problem like many others did not know how to shake or could not. I loved my cousin like a brother and it is a sad day for us all but he is at peace now we all continue on.
