I was lucky to know Vera for the last five years through my employment at Thom Child and Family Services in Massachusetts. In recent years, Vera worked as Thom’s graphic designer and all printed materials from Thom were products of Vera. All of her work was marked with her creativity, professionalism, and caring touch. Although her artistic talents were immense, what I found even more captivating about Vera was her ability to connect with others- her genuine kindness and caring in each and every point of contact. I very much looked forward to Vera’s annual calendar which featured some of her beautiful photography as well as an update on her life’s adventures over the last year. I will always remember and cherish Vera’s ability to appreciate even the tiniest bits of beauty in nature and embrace this wild journey of life. Even during the most difficult of times, she was able to find and embrace the silver lining; and I will forever carry that perpetual optimism with me. I wish comfort to all of Vera’s family and close friends at this difficult time of her unexpected passing. Dear Vera, may you rest in the sweetest peace; please know that your beautiful spirit will be missed here on earth.
