Obituary of Richard Allen Harriman

Richard A. Harriman, 69, of Liberty, ME passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. Born in East Vassalboro to Raymond and Audrey Harriman. He is survived by his wife Cynthia Harriman and children Kathy and spouse Paul, Jesse, Kristie, Kami and Joanna. Richard was especially proud of his grandchildren Kaylan, Kierra, Kallie, Payton, Sean, Carter and Shane. Richard had a large family including his siblings Barbara and Bill St. Clair, Beverly and Hartley Nickerson, Henry and Vickie Harriman, Donald and Debbie Harriman, Warren and Donna Harriman. As well as his in-law family, Avis Beach, Shirley Marriner, Pam and Howdy Christiansen, Julie and Harvey Roberts, Karen and Gene Winchenbach, Joy and Doug Gee. Many nieces and nephews, with special mention of Bob Keene who held a special place in his heart. Richard was predeceased by his parents Raymond G. Harriman and Audrey G. Childs, his grandparents Tracy & Barbara "Nana" Harriman, his first wife Michelle and his brother in law Steven Marriner. Richard was well known for his work ethic. With many opportunities like driving long distance with David LIttlefield, spent some time working in the woods and hauling logs with Jim Jones, and later with his nephew Justin and brother in law Steve. Richard was quick to pick up new skills from cement work to plumbing, he always enjoyed these experiences. He spent many years driving for Dave St. Clair, some of his best memories were the many trips to Crookers, every day had a new story. Richard was a member of the Liberty AMVETS and the Liberty Mason Grand Lodge #111. For many years he participated in the turkey shoots; he enjoyed hunting, skeet shooting, and target practice. Richard and Cindy loved camping with friends and family at the Fryeburg Fair. Many generations have passed through Cindy's Daycare and Richard became everyone's "Grampy Richard". A private burial will take place in the spring with a gathering for family and friends to follow. In lieu of flowers the family would love to hear your memories or favorite story with Richard.
