Obituary of Ann Elizabeth McGuire

Please share a memory of Ann to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ann McGuire Normann, 67, of Frankfort, died at home on the evening of June 13th, after a beautiful day working in her gardens. She leaves bereft but forever grateful David Normann, her husband of 35 years, daughters Rose and Grace, and ‘her boys,’ sons-in-law Bobby Morefield (Rose) and Philip Platz (Grace). Ann provided a loving home full of devotion, delight, and good times to her husband, her children, their friends, and a beloved flock of nieces and nephews. Ann was born in Providence, RI, the second of six siblings, to Eileen and Donald McGuire. Born into a family of artists, she drew and painted beautifully from a young age, and later graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design. Ann and David designed and built their own house in Frankfort, which blossomed into Dippermouth Farm. She raised her family (and many other animals) with great joy, hard work, and good humor. An extraordinary mother, she gave her children the rare combination of her total ongoing attention while cultivating their freedom. Ann was faithful to beauty-- seeing, harnessing and spreading it endlessly.
