Thinking of you with lots of heart, David, Grace, Rose, Ann's siblings, and other dear family and friends. I wonder if you remember that childhood visit, Rose and Grace, to our home in San Francisco to visit us, your previously unknown cousins. The four of us, the two sister pairs- Thea and Madeleine, Grace and Rose, played in the backyard on our rope swing. How long ago, and yet I remember it vividly!
Grieving is such a strange and indescribable process, so wrapped up with love, memory, and longing. My sister, Thea, died in 2016, and four years later, I continue to navigate a profoundly changed world with her no longer here in body. While you may be experiencing the most acute pain of missing your loved one, know that you are not alone. Over time, while your grief will feel lighter to carry, your love for your mother, wife, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend will stay bright and strong forever. If you would ever like to reach out, any of you, know that I am here. As it happens, I am nearing the end of a writing project about the grief of siblings and the continued sibling connection, so I am very much in this landscape right now. Much love and heart to all of you as you continue on.

Dear Dave, Rose, Grace, and all of Ann's siblings,
News of Ann's death comes as a tremendous shock. I used to daydream about how wonderful it would be to live close enough to share our lives more fully. It didn't work out that way but I was grateful that we were able to reconnect, thanks to our friend Pam, but I loved thinking about the life she was living in Maine with her wonderful family. When I came to Providence for college, Ann and I were on the same dorm floor. She introduced me to Providence, her family, the art world, and as it turned out - to my future husband. He was the roommate of one of her friends at Brown. Ann and I spent lots of time together, and shared everything in those days. I loved her like a sister and feel so glad that I had the good fortune to know her. I can't quite believe she has gone.
You have my sincerest condolences, Kathleen (KMarq)

Dear David, Rose, Grace and "the boys",
I am so sorry the read of Anne's passing all too soon and can only imagine the shock you all must be in during this time. I haven't spent much time with you all since Anne was pregnant with a very large belly, laying on the ground in her garden, smiling away while weeding. Every time I have thought of Anne over the years, this is the picture in my mind. Sending you all much love and blessings as you all grieve your loss and transition to a new normal of life without Anne in this physical form.
Much love,
Susan Grace (Yentes)

It was such a blessing to have had the opportunity to visit with Ann virtually on April 21st in a Zoom meeting in advance of the Bay View Academy Class of 1970 50th Reunion. Most of us had not seen each other in 50 years. The conversation was as free as if we'd all seen each other the day before. When asked to send a message to the Class of 1970, Ann said the following: "Don't forget to pray. Sometimes it may seem hollow, but Our Lord doesn't mind. And if you feel scared or intimidated, remember that almost everybody else feels that way too." We hold her words close to our hearts as we offer our condolences to David, Rose, Grace, Bobby, and Philip and, of course, "Annie Louise".
