Obituary of Alice E. Brier

BELFAST Alice E. Brier, age 92 and wife of the late Charles Brier, Sr. went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 7, 2019 at Harbor Hill in Belfast. Alice was born December 30, 1926 to Edward and Katherine (Robbins) Socea Hubbard. Alice worked in the family businesses for over 50 years before becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse. She then worked for 20 years at the Camden Health Center and seven years at Harbor Hill Health Care until retiring at the age of 80. Even after retiring, Alice maintained her LPN certification and would occasionally get requests to work from facilities who didn’t realized she was retired. In addition to her parents, Alice was predeceased by her husband Charles Brier, Sr., one son Charles Brier, Jr., and her beloved pet and companion, Miss Kitty. Alice is survived by her sister Stella Huff, her son Ralph Brier and wife Jan, daughter Jane Scott and husband Gary, and grandchildren Marci, Judd, Tess and Dale, and cousin Elsie Geary. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Alice’s family would like to thank the wonderful, caring staff at Harbor Hill Rehab for the care and compassion they provided to Alice in her last months. In accordance with Alice’s wishes, there will be no memorial services. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Alice’s name to a local animal shelter.
