I only met Wayne once when he came to my sister's funeral. He knew my brother, Floyd Oakes, and they were great buddies in there teen years. They joined the army together and went to FT. Dix I believe but Floyd got sick and they got seperated. but remained friends. That is why Wayne came to our siter;s service so they could catch up. I have told Floyd about Wayne's passing and he feels bad he can not come to the service. He is 84 as well and not up to traveling now. He sends his best to the family and so do my husband Gary and I. Wayne was a nice person and I think my brother's best friends. They used to roller skate down in Belfast and went everywhere together. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of his family.
I WILL NEVER FORGET COMING UP TO VISIT YOU AND THE FAMILY. I'LL MISS OUR LITTLE TALKS CARS, FAMILY ,PARADES YOU WERE PROUD TO BE PART OF ,AND THEN WE WOULD JUST SIT ON PORCH AND LOOK OUT AND WHATEVER THE WEATHER WOULD BE ANOTHER CONVERSATION. I WILL MISS YOU. ROBIN
