Obituary of Jennie Pearse Clark

SEARSMONT JENNIE (MORSE) PEARSE CLARK, 93 of Searsmont, passed away November 9, 2017 at Knox Center in Rockland. She was born and raised in Lincolnville, Maine on December 15, 1923 to John Everett and Caroline (Lermond) Morse. Jennie was a very active community member in Searsmont, earning an award for Community Beautification for her many efforts. Jennie had a quick smile and friendly nature and was also a beautiful artist. She was a loving friend to many and showed her kindness to shut-ins bringing meals and pies to them and making phone calls to her many friends. She cherished her family, especially the grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by both parents; her first husband Basil Pearse Sr.; her second husband Howard Clark; sister Marion Norwood; nephew Earl Norwood and an infant sister. Jennie is survived by her two sons, Basil Pearse Jr. and his wife Arlinda, Paul Pearse and wife Alice; grandchildren Diane, Michelle, Gary, Lori and Rebecca; several great-grandchildren as well as great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a special friend, Basil Hills. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, November 17th at Searsmont Methodist Church.
