While I did not know Cathy well, our children grew up together. My daughter, Kate, and I send our condolences to the family. I always admired Cathy's quiet composure and her strength, during these last few years especially.

Cathy was a devoted friend for many years. She had unending support for me and I will never forget that. I will especially remember our trip to see the Puffins and her love of nature. My best to you Lyndon and to the children. I will remember her fondly.

Cathy will be greatly missed in the music classes at Senior College. It was always a pleasure to see her shining face in class. Our instructor, Neal Harkness, asked all of us in class yesterday to observe a moment of silence to remember Cathy. My sincerest condolences Lyndon on the loss of such a wonderful woman. I reconnected with my friend Cathy after many years just this past May. We had been friends at Dickinson College, but lost touch over time. I am so happy we were able to spend a long weekend together this past July. It was as if we had never been apart. Our friendship was renewed and I will always treasure that special visit. Cathy was a beautiful soul -- gracious, loving and kind. She will always have a special place in my heart.

Cathy's kindness was palpable, both as a friend but most especially as a devoted Hospice volunteer. She will be sorely missed in the Tuesday French conversation group at the Coop where she never forgot to share a treat from her latest voyage outre-mer! Her courage facing this wretched illness was an inspiration to us all. We send our deepest sympathy to you, Lyndon, as well as to Rebecca and Jeffrey. Lindsay McGuire and David Loxterkamp

Cathy was very special to me. I will always remember our conversations about cooking and our shared interest in birds and nature. I will especially remember the year I had a friend deliver an anonymous Christmas gift and the suspense of having to wait to open it. "You got me!" she exclaimed after finding out it was from me. My sincere condolences to Lyndon, Rebecca, and Jeffrey. Much love, Debbie Huff
