Eunice , a sweet person who was quick to give a hug and a smile. So dedicated to her business and customers who very often became friends because she made us feel like our needs were very important as she saw to it we got the help we needed. Thinking of family and friends. Condolences to all who love her.

I'll miss her voice at the cash register. She calmly accepted the hug I gave her the day I wore my a giant polar bear suit into the store., no clue as to who I was until I spoke. In her 'office' we visited, I read her excerpts from some books--the last one Michele Obama's autobiography, which led to conversations about these times-- how people are around one another, her upbringing, funny stories from her childhood (and mine), road trips, dating, even our hairstyles (both good and bad ones). She was a girlfriend, so easy both to talk to and to joke with, and even in her last days when I visited her, she managed to say something playful and we both laughed, her warm hand reaching for mine. I'd like to have known her for a long time.

Have known Eunice for many years --n her younger brother Walter was one of my husband's best friends. When the Co-op moved to lower Main Street, we were next door to the hardware store and Eunice & Dale were great neighbors -- gave us fork;lift assistance when needed, welcomed Crosby, the Co-op cat, in to help w/rodent control. Even after Eunice's eyesight was very poor, she always recognized me -- and, my family members. Condolences to her family & co-workers. Marie Giggie & families

Eunice was one of the first people I met when I came to Belfast almost forty years ago. In my first conversation with her one day in the hardware store I mentioned I was having a back problem. She insisted I come to her house for a free Reiki session. That was Eunice.....always looking to help other people. We became great friends. What a warm and giving person! We will all miss her very much!

I will miss seeing Eunice there behind the counter at her hardware store. I always enjoyed talking to her and she was always helpful. She maintained a wonderful sense of humor, even as she dealt with the physical limitations that accompany advancing age. Glenn Montgomery, Belfast

Eunice will be so greatly missed. She was always there to help with a smile. The store will just not be the same without her. I do hope however, that our dear hardware store will continue for a long time. My heartfelt condolences to the entire family. In Sympathy, Lesia and John

I set with Eunice on the street across from Alexias the year they city planned to cut off the stop light for an hour. We enjoyed our talk and wondering out loud about what would happen without the stop light. We laughed when they changed their mine and did not cut it off. It was always fun to see her and share a moment in time. I will miss her.
