Obituary of Marshall A. Harriman
Marshall A. Harriman, 78 of Waldo, Maine passed away January 3, 2025. He was born August 5, 1946 to Lloyd Harriman and Winifred (Foy) Harriman of Waldo.
He graduated from Belfast High School in 1965. Soon after graduation, he began work for the Maine DOT, making his way to district supervisor until his retirement. Marshall became a Master Mason in Belfast Lodge # 24 on December 6, 1973. He was created Anah Shrine in Bangor on June 20, 1981.
Marshall enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He also enjoyed woodworking in his workshop making items for his family. He loved golfing as well.
In addition to his parents, Marshall was predeceased by his wife Cheryl (Seekins) Harriman; sister Esther (Harriman) Colby of Swanville; infant brother Jansen A. Harriman; nephews Michael Colby of Swanville and Aidan York of Waldo; sister-in-law Linda (Chute) Harriman of Randolf; and brother-in-law Bruce Seekins of Belfast.
Marshall is survived by daughters Leslie (Harriman) Fowlie and Josh Stone of Searsmont and Tonya (Harriman) Quitugua and Robert of Texas; brother Dennis Harriman of Randolf; sisters Sharon (Harriman) York and Ronnie Watt of Waldo and Jean (Harriman) Tripp and Leal Wood of Belfast; brothers-in-law Stanley Colby of Swanville, Harold Seekins and Nancy of Belfast, and Michael Seekins and Terrie of North Searsport; sister-in-law Cindy Skinner and Jon of Belfast; grandchildren Casey (Fowlie) Dixon of Jefferson, Kara (Fowlie) Smith and Andrew of Lincolnville, Nicki (Fowlie) Tarbell and Cole of Shapleigh and Dominic Quitugua of Texas; great-grandchildren Rylee, Piper, Owen, and Alvah; and many nieces and nephews, and cousins.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 2 to 3 p.m., with a Masonic service at 3 p.m. at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave, Belfast, Me 04915. A reception with light refreshments will immediately follow at the Waldo Town Office, 629 Waldo Station Rd. Please feel free to bring a dish to share.
