Leon (Charlie) Mellard Annis Sr, 91, of Swanville died peacefully at home on November 11, 2024.

Born in Belfast on July 10, 1933, he was the son of Merl B. Annis and Alice (Cook) Annis. He grew up in

Belfast with one brother and eight sisters. He had worked for several local companies including Truitt

Brothers Shoe and Mathews Brothers. He enjoyed hunting, old western movies and older country

music.

Survivors include: his wife of 38 years, Margene Annis; two children, Leon Annis Jr and wife Allyson and

Fonda Cogswell and husband Price; three stepchildren, Chris O’Jala and wife, Marcia, Julie Cruz and

husband, Randy and Heidi Bowen and husband, Otis; and one sister, Joyce Feero.

He also leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
