Born in Monroe, ME. on 5-14-32 to Alfred and Mattie Roberts (Elwell).

Robert was schooled in Brooks and graduated from Monroe Memorial School in 1950. Robert worked at Black and Gay canneries and went to work for First National stores until going into the service 1952 -1954. He returned to work in the poultry business and became self-employed at the home place in Brooks. He was also a former selectman and fire chief and owned and operated Roberts Greenhouse for 37 years.

He is survived by his wife Pat A. Howe, his son Robert F. Roberts Jr., sisters Charlene and Sheila Moody, brother Arthur Roberts, as well as many nieces and nephews and cousins.

Robert enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.

There will be no funeral service. A burial will take place at a later date at Rose Cemetery.
