My Dad, lived most of my life in Maine me being from Cape breton, I remember as a young girl and crying because I missed my daddy and my mother would say "give him a call and listen to his voice" and I use to love hearing his voice, and now as a adult I still feel like that little girl who misses her dad and just wants to call him and hear his voice. Dad I will always miss you, and I will always remember all the memories we shared! Love you xo

I think You and Poppy were the reason I started singing as a kid. You and him teaching me “Poppy Songs”, that I would then recite in class to my teachers horror. The row row row your boat song will always be my favourite. But the Poppy version of course, where it’s a joint instead. Because of you my childhood was filled with adventure and humour, thanks for being the Best Uncle in the World.
Love always,
Reisha

While I have so many big memories my father at family events and personal milestones, the ones that stand out to me the most are the little moments he took to teach or to care for. We bonded over driving lessons, CPR classes, learning how to check a tire pressure. On a hike at the top of a mountain, he took a moment to show me the rock formation and showed signs of glaciers. It was a small moment, but it was a side of my father that middle school me did not see before, and it stuck with me.He was a natural teacher with a calm, inquisitive presence.
He not only had a teaching spirit, but a healing one as well. If I was sick, he tended to me. When I was injured he patched me up. He went out of his way to take care of family members with the highest level of care and respect.
Finally, and even though not many people will understand this reference, I have to say it- my dad is so cool. ONE TIME, he took me and my sister to the Ice Cream Caboose. (Sorry Mom!)

Karmyn and I had the pleasure of working with Ken over the years. We were deskmates/neighbors for a period of time, and he'd share his stories of working with the fire department and life in Canada. We would spend several hours every day for a year or two chatting and I always enjoyed his conversations. He taught me several valuable life lessons such as finances, having a family & marriage, and in 2014 provided everyone with his Happier Life Handbook when he got promoted and left our department. I still have a copy of his handbook and the 35 bullet points in it. In 2017 I got to shadow and work with him again as he mentored me for a brief period of time. He was always a great guy and we'll miss him!

I had no idea that you would become the man you did…you were the young skinny rake of a brother. Crashing cars, motorcycles and a party or two….
You were there for me helping me with Dylan when I was alone in Manitoba. That is where the phrase “he’s doing time” came from…with Reisha you were the person she could confide in. “Don’t tell Mom”, probably was said more than once.
Although you were my “little brother” you will always be my “big brother”...you guided me and encouraged me to love and forgive. It was you who always saw the best in others…you always were a voice of reason.
You were “are” so much more than a brother. You were my rock. I truly will miss my rock. Rest Easy Bruzer, know I will always need you. Until we are together again there, I will love you forever from here. Xoxo

Robin, Misty, & family;
Just wanted to let you know you are all in my thoughts & prayers. To know Ken was to love him. He was always so kind with me & I will always the stories he & Ken would tell of their times "upta camp". I know you, Ken, Mel & Greg will always remember restful ones & the not so restful ones where the guys acted out & loved every time they had the chance to! I am grateful for knowing him & you too, of course. Take care of yourselves.
Love you,
Betty T (aka: Mamason-if I remember this & spelled it right right).

Ken was a great co-worker from WCGH, always very kind and what a great sense of humor!
I worked with Robin for many years and we still get together often. We have heard so many amazing stories of Robin & Ken's adventures.

I will always think of the memories and lessons you left me. You shaped my life and were part of making me who I am today. I will always remember how much you could make me laugh and the speed of your funny comebacks. I always admired your passion for the outdoors and fishing. I wish I had returned to fishing sooner so we could have shared it together again like when you took me on fishing trips when I was young.
The last lesson you imparted to me was on my wedding night when you showed me the proper way to light a cigar. I guess I will have to do it that way from now on.

I'll never forget when we hit the floor in the CSC and had to find a buddy to listen to calls with. I wondered around and my trainer pointed out Ken. I sat with him for a few hours listening to him talk to clients. His gentle tone and laugh really helped people feel at ease and know they were in good hands. Ken really put me at ease "you don't have to know the answer, you just have to know where to find it" Good Journey, Ken. I am so sorry to Ken's family and friends for their loss, a true friend who will be missed.

Ken was a very funny and outgoing person. I met him at a family reunion and my husband before he passed made a quick connection with Ken. and on our way home, he talked to him quite often and how funny and kind he thought he was and how loving and kind he was robin. he told him how grateful he was to be part of my family and how grateful he was second he was part of our family and the times we be able to spend together again when we came to Maine, we weren’t able to do that. my husband passed away, but was able to spend time with Ken again, he will be sorely missed
