Obituary of Mark E. Leathers

MARK E. LEATHERS, 63, of Stockton Springs, passed away on July 30, 2024, at EMMC in Bangor after a brief battle with cancer.  He was born in Belfast on November 20, 1960, to Ernell Bumpus and Kenneth Leathers. 

He was predeceased by both parents, a sister Darline Damon, niece Melissa Dawn Leathers; great-niece Melissa Dawn Rose Mathis; and a special dog, Tazz.  

 

Mark is survived by his wife, Vicki Leathers; siblings Melodie Bagley, Roxanne Philbrick, Betty Roberts, Karen Kostning and husband Tim, Brenda Williams and husband Steve; his children Mark Leathers II, Amy Crowley, Heather Cook, Brandi Merrill and husband  Corey; two step-sons, John Skillings Sr., and Robert Skillings Jr.; several grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; two special nieces Jennifer Higdon and Jessie Piper; a special nephew Scott Leathers and wife Morgan and his special dog, Gracie.

 

Mark was a veteran of the Army and National Guard.  He loved spending time with family and friends, playing cards or Yahtzee, listening to music, watching wrestling and going places including traveling to different states when he could.  He was full of life.  He will be missed and loved by many.
