So sorry to hear that Georrge has passed. I often had the privilege of visiting with George and Brenda when they came up to cousin Ted's camp at South Twin Lake. Loved his stories as he told them one after the other. He was such a pleasure to have known.

So sorry for this loss. I was amongst several girls much younger than George when growing up in our neighborhood. We all swooned over George and probably drove him crazy trying to get his attention. He was always so gracious. Bumped into him on one of my trips back to Maine about 20 years ago when he recognized me & had a great conversation. What a great person and large loss.

The best barber in Belfast, as my Uncle Eddie Bowen would tell anyone. He was a kind and gentle man. I’m glad I had a chance to see him two years ago at our little school reunion. Sorry for yours and the Family loss. ❤️

My husband Phil loved getting his haircut from George. He always came home with wonderful jokes, which he used many times... When he could not drive, I took him and found the most amusing man. Rest in Peace George....<3

Uncle George was one of the friendliest and kindest people I've ever known. It never mattered how long it had been since I'd seen him, he always greeted me and my entire family with a big smile and hugs all around.
He gave me the best flat top I ever had when I was in college, and was happy to try to teach me his tricks since I didn't live in Maine. I passed those learnings onto my hair cutting wife, who has tried to copy George's work as best she could for the last 35 years!
Some of my best memories are of visits to Young's Lobster Pound with George and Brenda and stuffing myself silly with lobsters and steamers.
You will be missed greatly George - rest in peace.
