Sending My condolences to Carol'S Family. I Had the pleasure of spending time with Carol as the Activities Director at Seaport Village. Visiting, and talking with Carol was always a pleasure to be around! Seeing her enjoy her friends company for every meal, playing BINGO, having movie nights, teaching me painting techniques, discussing her beautiful artwork, we always found something to laugh about, and share a smile. One of my favorite memories was around Christmas Time when some how, she received 6+ boxes of Ritz Crackers! We laughed so hard! I walked into her room, and she was surrounded by Ritz Cracker boxes, I remember saying, "OH, BOY!" Carol let out the biggest, most beautifully joyful laugh, and we found good homes for all of those crackers. Then another memory was when we would do monthly painting classes, she wouldn't usually participate in actually painting, but she would help me teach the classes by helping instruct how to hold the paint brushes, and different paint strokes. The day I finally talked her into paintingwith our group, was a great day, she did such a great job, I always told her "I would never give up on you painting!" When she left Seaport, I missed her so much, she was a legacy, and was one of the first residents I met. I am honored to have met Carol, and her beautiful talented soul!

Carol was one of my dearest friends. We grew up down the street from each other and lived together in Boston. I fixed her up with her husband John and loved her dearly.

My friend Carol Murgia has died. July 1. I saw her obituary in the paper today. She was a beautiful woman. I loved her. We shared an interest in art and her room was decorated with special art comfortable. She was gracious even when she did not feel well. One of her biggest problems was her eyes, she had a hard time with bright light and couldn't see well. The last time I saw her, she was crying. She said what will become of me. They were moving her from Seaport to God knows where. I didn't have any answers so I cried too. The corporate takeover of Seaport displaced so many of my friends and broke up their alliances. She was one of the Golden Girls. They sat together every meal and waited for each other whenever there was an activity. If someone was missing, they would send for that friend. Sometimes I would go to Carol who would be asleep. She was lovely. She was soft and gentle and kind and self deprecating. She loved her friends and her routine. I'm so sorry that I lost track of her. I lost track of most of my friends that I had made in the six months I spent with them. Carol was so special, a real class act. Her stories and sense of humor and insights were amazing. Her obituary picture did not do her justice. She was a true beauty. I cherish me time with Carol.
