Phyllis Althea (Swallow) Pottle was born May 17, 1947 in Cambridge Mass. Phyllis graduated from Melrose High in 1965, raised her family in Andover, Mass. and retired in Belfast, Maine in 2013. She passed away January 26, 2024.


She was the beloved wife of Dr. David B. Pottle, loving mother to Heather E. Pottle and Jessica E. Pottle, relentlessly devoted Nana to Harrison G.& John Malcolm D. Bailey, and everyone’s favorite Auntie.


The last of her Nova Scotian family, she is predeceased by baby brother Robert Malcolm, parents, Herman & Celia Jean (Noiles) Swallow, and sisters Carolyn E. King and Marjorie J. Pelletier.


No services will be held, according to her wishes. Please consider donating to American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, or the American Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
