This day, November 29, 2023, heaven shines a little brighter.  Irene M. Doliber passed gently into the arms of her savior while attended by 2 of her 6 living children.  Today she can once again see clearly to enjoy the beauty of the heaven that surrounds her and she is once again able to hear and enjoy the sounds of the angel choir. 

Irene was born in Quebec, Canada on November 17th in 1921 the daughter of Aurore and Joseph Cote.  She was raised from infancy to adulthood in various parts of Maine.  She led a full and productive life that spanned 102 years.  She was married at the age of 16 to her first husband, Harold Cox and had 4 children from that union, Robert Cox (deceased) Clifton Sumner of Bar Harbor, Maine, Joan Duffy (deceased) and Herbert Perkins of Thomaston, Maine.  She married her 2nd Husband, Charles Hayes (deceased) after the death of her first husband and had 4 children from this union, Helen Lane of Searsport, Maine, Charlie Hayes (deceased as an infant), Mary Annis of Searsport, Maine and Clancy Hayes of Waxahachie, Texas.  She married her 3rd and final husband, Kelly Doliber (deceased) in 1960 and had 1 daughter, Gagie Raven of Freedom, Maine, from that union.  She is predeceased by her brothers Roland, Leo, and Reginald and sisters Maryclair, Claudia, Lornia, and Rosemarie.  She is survived by 1 sister Rita Hanning of Raymond, Maine and many nieces and nephews.

Irene was a member of the Searsport Full Gospel Church for many years from approximately 1966 until the time of her death.  She was a firm believer in the power of God and his son Jesus Christ. 

Irene requested that there be no formal funeral and no flowers are necessary, but prayers for the family are greatly appreciated.  She will be cremated at Riposta Funeral Home in Belfast, Maine and later interred with her late husband, Kelly Doliber in the family cemetery in Stockton Springs, Maine.
