I am so sad to read of Ed's passing. Though I haven't seen him in decades, we were friends in high school. I still think of him whenever Aerosmith's 'Seasons of Wither' comes on the radio due to his rendition at the Mt View Talent Show so many years ago. My sincere sympathy to his loved ones. Rest in Peace old Friend.

My husband, Tom, and I were so very sad to learn of Ed’s passing. We met Ed and Natalie in Piney Creek, NC, at RiverCamp USA Campground, in 2010. Natty and I cleaned bathrooms/showers and worked the store; Ed and Tom had campground “projects.” In the evening we went to the Freeman house to imbibe a bit and argue politics. We had so many good laughs and have remained friends to this day because we celebrated life there for 7 months. I wish we could be up there to give hugs/kisses to all. I’m praying for comfort for Natalie and the family in the days and times ahead and may God bless them all and grant them peace.

My Wife Michelle and myself were lucky to have Ed & Natalie come to stay and work with us for 2 years of their travels and then come back and visit us on several occasions. Ed was a talented individual and above else always would give thoughtful, calm advice when things were crazy. He was a tremendous help in the opening of our new endeavor, they were part of the opening crew for the campground and a big part in getting it up and running. Ed will truly be missed by us all! The picture is of our initial crew in order left to right - Ed, Natalie, Michelle, Myself, Roxanne and Micah. Until we meet again Ed, may you enjoy Fair winds and following seas.

The best memory we have of Ed is when the ceiling came down in the campground office and I was running next to Dale who was in the Pathfinder. Ed told you that you better get out there because Dale was trying to run me over. We were blessed to have you both in our lives.

I so enjoyed when we all would get together. We would laugh so hard (usually until ribs where sore). We are going to miss those days for sure. We considered you and Natalie family since day one. I was so glad you kept on touch with Mom after Dad died especially checking in on her. Hopefully they are all up there in Heaven laughing at us dang fools down here!!!! You will be sadly missed.
