Cecil Eastman
1934 - 2023
Cecil L. Eastman, 89, of Belfast, Maine, passed away on November 26, 2023, at home with his family. He was born on July 4, 1934, in Brooks, Maine. Cecil was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend.
He was a graduate of Brooks High School and went on to serve in the Air Force during the Korean War.
He retired after 35 years as Produce Manager from the current Hannaford Supermarkets.
He was an avid golfer and was very proud to be one of the longest members of Northport Golf Club. The golf course was one of his favorite places to be and that is where he made many close friends and great memories.
He also absolutely adored his family and relished in his children's, grandchildren's, and great-grandchildren's accomplishments.
Cecil is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Loretta Eastman, Cecil's son Maurice Eastman of Belfast and his daughters Jennifer Bubert and husband Paul of Derry, NH and
Kimberly Lackovic of Exeter, NH, as well as, Cecil's daughter, Maureen LeGage of Lincolnville, and husband Jim. Her daughter Kara LeGage and partner Aron Marshall of Camden and daughter Megan LeGage currently of Vermont. He is also survived by his sisters Becky Bouchard and husband Donald of Swanville, Cindy Alden and husband John of Topsham, Linda Tracy of Rockport, Joanne Van Hoek of Camden, Marjorie Robinson of Rockport, and brother Carl Roberts of Huntsville, Alabama. Also a sister-in-law Margaret Shadie. Cecil also had 4 great-grandchildren, Sofia, Madeleine, Oliver, and Hayden, whom he cherished dearly.
Cecil was preceded in death by his mother, Arlene Robert's of Belfast, sister Marilyn Moores of Brunswick, and brothers-in-law Charles Shadie, Basil Robinson, Ralph Moores, Donald Tracy, George Harris, James French & Lionel French. Also a beloved sister-in-law, Shirley Harris.
A viewing and reception for Cecil will be held at Riposta Funeral Home, Waldo Avenue, Belfast, ME from 2 pm to 4 pm, December 7th, 2023. A private burial will take place on December 8th, 2023, 10 AM at Grove Cemetery in Belfast, ME.
Cecil will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was a friend to all and a true Gentleman.
