Obituary of Nathaniel Peter John

Nathaniel Peter John, 32 of Winterport passed away on November 2, 2023 at home. 

Nathaniel was born October 4, 1991 in Rutland, VT. He grew up surrounded with love from his family and he excelled at whatever he decided to tackle. Naturally inquisitive, he loved being outdoors and did typical “kid” activities, but mostly he just liked being outside, tromping through the woods, building forts, finding interesting rocks.

Nathan moved with his family to Brooklin, ME in 1999 and loved spending time with his grandparents on their boat. He went to a couple different high schools and attended Northern Maine Community College where he obtained an Associate’s degree in one of their first Wind Power courses. He was interested in alternative energy and helped his father with their photovoltaic system. He had a wide range of interests and worked various jobs in surrounding towns.

An extremely intelligent young man, Nathan was very shy and not many people knew him well because he was so reserved. He excelled at working with computers and other electronics and loved gaming. A loyal friend, Nathan could always be counted on to help out where needed.

He is survived by his Partner, Son, Parents, Sisters, maternal Grandparents and various uncles, aunts and cousins.
