Obituary of Joyce R. Tibbetts

 

Joyce R. Tibbetts, 78, of Swanville went to be with her lord on October 5, 2023. Joyce was born in Belfast on March 29, 1945, to Dennis and Evelyn (Clements) Roberts.

She worked at Viner Brothers Shoe Factory in Bangor and the Salvation Army in Belfast. Joyce got the most enjoyment from spending time with family and friends, and always looked forward to celebrating a birthday party or Christmas with her loved ones.

Joyce was predeceased by her parents, her brother Loren Roberts Sr., her longtime companion David Keniston, her great niece Natasha Roberts, and her nephew Harold Tibbetts.

Surviving are her son Justus Tibbetts and his wife Michela, her brother Dennis Roberts II, his wife  Nancy and family, her sister-in-law Glenda Roberts and family, her sister-in-law Rose Tibbetts and family, cherished cousins, and extended relatives, plus everyone who lovingly called her “auntie”.

The family would like to thank the staff at Waldo County General Hospital for the care and tenderness they provided Joyce.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
