Dear Ann and Steve,
I was surprised and saddened to read of Jason's death. I teach at the Hope Elementary School and several years ago Jason attended a program honoring veterans the students presented. I went over to him later and told him, "You probably don't know me, but we are second cousins." I shared that my dad Jim was his grandfather Hugh's brother and his mother was my first cousin.
He was very pleasant and seemed happy I had spoken to him. I remember when Jason was born and my mom took Melanie and me to see him and bring a little gift. I send my sincerest condolences to you and your family.
