Obituary of Michael L. Colby

Michael L. Colby, 54 of Swanville passed away on August 17, 2023, at home. Michael was born on February 14, 1969, in Belfast Maine to Donald and Esther (Harriman) Colby.

 

Michael graduated from BAHS in 1987, served in the United States Navy as a navigator, and then retired to Swanville, Maine.

 

Michael was predeceased by his father and stepmother Donald and Connie Colby; his grandparents, Russell Sr., and Violet Colby and Llyod and Winnie Harriman; his uncles Russell Colby Jr., and Norman Colby.

 

Michael is survived by his partner of 13 years, Stephanie R. Blake; his mother and stepfather, Esther and Stanley Colby; his children, Dylan J. Colby of Swanville, Katelin Galloway of South Carolina, Phillip Gardiner (Amanda) of Brooks, Cameron Trott (Aires) of Belfast, Kurt Trott (Lyta) of Belfast, and Bruce Frank of Winthrop; his siblings, Sherry M. Colby of Swanville, Jarrod Cook of Lincolnville and Kelly Walsh of Knox; his grandchildren, Sophia, Mikaela, Cailleigh, Camila, Levi and Jayce. Michael is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and special friends including Harold York Jr., Luke Kenney, Pete and Jess Trott; and his cat companion Nala.

 

A celebration of life will be announced at a later time.  Memories and condolences may be shared on his tribute wall.
