Obituary of Joy Michael Marie Armbrust

Joy M. Armbrust, 60, of Northport, ME., passed away July 15th, 2023.
 

Joy was predeceased by her parents Mel K. and Gloria M. (Mannetti) Armbrust, and was survived by her child Amy Parish (Zach), siblings Sandra, Kenneth (Susan), Christine, and Melissa and her long time companion Fred Merrifield.
 

Joy was born and raised in Upper Arlington, OH. and graduated from Bishop Watterson HS Columbus, OH. Joy started working in the hospitality industry at Hyatt Hotels in Columbus, OH. and Seattle, WA.

Joy moved to Northport, ME. in 1999 and it was a visit to the Massachusetts House in 2001 that inspired her next chapter. Combining her love of people and keen eye for art she opened Northport Landing Gallery & Espresso in 2002. She quickly established a strong base of artists and was recruited to manage Ironbound Gallery in Camden, ME. until 2022.

Joy truly lived up to her namesake; she had a burning desire to engage with people and was always unforgettable. She was known for her love of the Lord and although she will be missed we know heaven is full of Joy.
