Obituary of Barbara Putnam

Please share a memory of Barbara to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Lincolnville - Barbara Ann Putnam passed away in her
home on April 25 2023. She was the oldest daughter of Nick
and Eva Santanella. She is survived by long time partner,
Richard E. Weeks, a younger brother Nick Santanella, and
her two children, Adam and Sara Putnam.

She grew up in Enfield, Connecticut but soon traded the
tobacco fields of her childhood for the skyscrapers of New
York City as a dental hygienist. Many twists and turns later,
she found herself retiring to Lincolnville Beach after 27
years as a vice president of telecommunications at Citibank.
She enjoyed travel and adventure wherever she could find it
which often meant boating with Richard up and down the
Penobscot Coast. She was an exceptional cook and generous
host of many gatherings for family and friends, loved
gardening, knitting and collecting treasures from the beach
She had a very giving and loving personality that she
shared with everyone she met.

Donations can be made in her name to New Hope Midcoast,
an organization that she believed strongly in supporting.
