Obituary of Roxanne Miriam Henderson

Roxanne M. Henderson, 71, of Belfast, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022, at Bayview Manor in Searsport, Maine. She is now at peace after suffering several years from advanced Parkinsons Disease. Roxanne was born on March 23, 1951, in Belfast, Maine to Walter and Bertha Baker. She graduated from Belfast Area High School in 1969. Roxanne’s greatest joy in life came from taking care of people. She had a life-long career in the nursing field, but most of all she loved taking care of her family and friends. She was a kind and generous person who had a smile and a twinkle in her eye that would light up the room. Her laugh was contagious. She gave all of herself to others and loved everyone who crossed her path. Roxanne was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and spent her life serving others and loving the Lord. Prior to her illness, in her free time, Roxanne could be found doing genealogy, helping others, doing crafts, and taking care of her beloved animals. She had a great love for all animals but especially cats.

Roxanne is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sebrina and CJ Beckstrom of Goodyear, AZ, and her three grandchildren Soren, Emorie and Jude Beckstrom. She is also survived by her beloved sisters Coradean Lavergne and Corrine Fitzjurls (Ken), and many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and church family. Roxanne was preceded in death by her daughter Deanna McNeal, parents Walter and Bertha Baker, and nephew Michael Saitto.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
