Obituary of Jeffrey D. Caswell Jr.

Jeffrey Caswell Sept. 7, 1966 – Nov. 7, 2022

Jeff was an amazing husband, father, and friend.  Cherishing family time and being a dad, making sure to attend all of Jamie’s high school sporting events no matter the distance.   He was quiet with a mischievous grin that warmed everyone’s hearts. He also mastered the special skill of sleeping while standing.

Leaving Rhode Island where Jeff grew up to attend Unity College for Forestry, he turned Maine into his home.

Jeff gave all he had into work at times working 2 jobs to support his family.  He was very proud to have worked at Robins lumber.   Working in the sawmill to operations manager in 34 short years.

In the spring you could find Jeff at the sugar shack making syrup, the summer on his boat.  Football Sundays and chopping wood in the fall to cross-country skiing through the woods in winter.  Loved to travel and make every new experience an adventure.

Painfully leaving behind his beloved wife Dawn; son Jamie (Lexi); stepsons Brian (Jessica), and Anthony (Hadelle); parents, Margaret and Gerry Houle, Jeff and Barbara Caswell; brother Josh; stepbrothers Jon (Christina), Kevin and (Heather).; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends.

Jeff was a very respected member of the community where there will be a celebration of life on Sat. Nov. 12 from 2-4 at Riverside Farm in Searsmont.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Waldo County Woodshed in Jeff’s memory.
