Whenever Mark brought a new sport before the school board I tried to make sure he got a vote on it. We accepted every one of them, due mostly because of his passion for our student athletes and undeniable charisma. It was always an easy sell. I also enjoyed working with him as a rec department contact who helped greatly with advice and resources. The man was a font of positivity and helpfulness. He was always willing to listen to you about anything. He is dearly missed.
