Dear Chris, we were so saddened and shocked to receive your note, telling us of Betty’s passing from Alzheimer’s. We can only imagine what you, Betty, and your family have been through, having just lost Sally’s mom to a twelve year decline of memory loss.
Reading Betty’s obit brought all of Mom’s losses to mind, and the knowledge of the sadness and joy that goes with caring for such a loved one. We, too, recall the wonderful years with visits and island picnics that we shared during your stay here in Stonington.
Betty was a special friend . Remember when we visited you in Wilton when Molly was a baby! We are very glad that you could be with Jed, Emilia, and family during this last difficult bit. Betty accomplished so much in her life.
We don’t have your present address for a card, but wanted to express our sympathy and admiration to you and to let you know we will be contributing to Hospice in her name. With much love and gratitude for your kind note, Curt and Sally
