Obituary of Betty Irene Littlefield

Betty Irene (Gray) Littlefield, 68, of Belfast passed away on May 7, 2022, at Waldo County General Hospital. She was born on September 15, 1953, in Castine the daughter of Roland Dargan Gray and Eula May (Hutchinson) Gray. Betty attended school in Belfast and later attained a GED and furthered her education by taking college courses. She married Rodney George Littlefield Sr on May 30, 1970, and worked for Head start in Belfast, Penobscot Poultry, and for RSU 71 for many years cooking. Betty loved to read she loved to cook for everyone and her grandchildren were her world. She would spend a lot of time with her granddaughter Tayler cooking and teaching her the basics of cooking. Betty also had a lot of fun playing games of Yahtzee with her niece Laurie. She also loved their dog Mugzyand would spoil him like he was her own child. She has gone on to be with her husband Rodney who predeceased her last year. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, and siblings Muriel Gordon, Kevin Gray, Edward Gray, Francis Gray, Nancy Gray, Emily Turner, Juanita Astbury, Raymond Gray, and Jeanette Gray. She is survived by her children Rodney G. Littlefield Jr. partner Kendra Ware of Belmont Me, Nicole L (Littlefield) Hesse husband Darren of Belfast Me, Anthony Littlefield and partner Melissa Cilley of Baileyville Me, and Laurie Lee and husband Terry; grandchildren Tayler Hesse, Bentlee Hesse, Mason Smith Brooklin Lancaster, and great-granddaughter Kailyn Lancaster; siblings Arlene LaBrie Cindy Gray Roland Gray Jr Anna Riley; and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held at her home on Friday, June 3, 2022, from 4 to 7 pm followed by A graveside service on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at 12 pm at Hillside Cemetery in Belmont followed by a gathering at her home.
