Obituary of Margaret E. Wildes

Margaret E. "Honey" Wildes, 92, passed away on March 21, 2022 in Belfast. Margaret was born on June 4, 1929 to the late Delbert and Mildred Downs. She grew up and raised her own family in and around Brooks Maine. Margaret was a former Teacher’s Aide for Mt. View, a member of the Congregational Church of Brooks and was known for her baking, especially her pies. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Joseph L. Wildes and by her sons, Randy Wildes and Eugene Wildes. Surviving are her son Alston Wildes and his wife Gwen; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Margaret’s family wish to thank the caring staff at Tall Pines for their care and compassion shown toward Margaret and a special thank you to Margaret’s dear friends Carol and Pat for their love and visits. Funeral services will be held at Brooks Congregational Church on April 2,2022 10 am. Food and fellowship will follow in the Varney building. Private burial will be later in spring. Memories and condolences may be shared on her tribute wall.
