Obituary of Sue Carol McTague

Sue Carol McTague, 76, of Searsmont, Maine, passed away peacefully February 24, 2022 at Waldo County General Hospital. She was born June 14, 1945 in Castine, ME to Allen Atherton and Clarice (Grinnell).
Sue is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Andrew, and four children: Tina, Andrew Jr., Sherri, and Allen; five grandchildren: Kristina, Justin, Ashley, Christopher, and Kristen; two great-grandchildren: Emma and Colson; two sisters: Mary and Marcia; and one brother John.
Sue enjoyed going to stockcar races in Maine and frequently traveled to Canada and New Hampshire as well. She liked to read, listen to Gospel and Country music, attend fairs to watch horse pulling competitions, watch bull riding shows, and years ago she would knit or crochet.
When the shoe factory industry closed, Sue returned to school and obtained her LPN license. She enjoyed working in the nursing home where she became fondly attached to the patients she cared for. After a few years of working as a nurse, she left the medical field and began working as a bookkeeper which she did for many years until she retired.
At Sue’s request there will be no services.
