Obituary of Daniel Herbert Higgins

DANIEL "DANNY" H. HIGGINS, loving husband, father, brother and grandfather, passed away unexpectedly on December 16, 2021 at the VA Hospital in Augusta from complications with CoVid and pneumonia. He passed peacefully. Danny had served in the Navy. He was a long-time carpenter and drove truck in younger years. Danny loved going to auctions. He wheeled and dealed in a little bit of everything. He was a jack-of-all-trades. He enjoyed being outside and had to be busy doing something all the time. He wasn't one to sit still for too long. Danny enjoyed being with family and friends. He loved his sister Melba's home-made Mexican food, and chocolate pie. He would also help anyone who needed help with no hesitation. He would give the shirt off his back, even to those he didn't know. Danny is survived by his wife and soulmate of 34 years, Tracey Higgins, two sons, Dale Higgins of Montville and Danny Jr. of CA; one daughter Danielle of CA; three sisters, Melba Fisher and husband Gary of Belmont, ME, Denise and Gayle both of CA; stepson Christopher Brillard and wife Sara of Thorndike; two grandchildren Corey and Cali of Thorndike and his best friend Keith Bruns of Liberty; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Christine Washburn Higgins; his father Herbert Higgins; brother Darrell and sister Donna both of CA. Danny will be forever missed and loved by all who knew him.
