Laureen Kay (Munro) Carlson left our world on November 14, 2021, in Belfast. She was born in Rockland, Maine March 12, 1960. On July 7, 1984, Laureen married the love of her life Kurt Carlson and together they settled in Maine to raise their family. Laureen loved music particularly classic country and enjoyed sharing it with others. This appreciation inspired her, Kurt, and daughter Willow to take a very special trip to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tenn. They would also take visits to the beaches of North Carolina which was a favorite vacation destination. Her strong faith in God was evident and shined through in her great love of family. Gatherings such as dinner or a cookout with them brought her some of the greatest joy. In the Summer months, you could find her having fun in the pool or enjoying a backyard barbecue, photographing her beloved family, and sharing these events that we all cherish so much. A great sense of humor and zest for life drew people to her. In days past she was found cruising around in her prized Mustang, enjoying girls' day with friends, sharing laughs through her love of comedy, and always looked forward to lunch dates with her Dad. Laureen was the glue that held her family together, the embodiment of love, and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She was predeceased by her Mother Priscilla (Murray) Munro in 2020. Laureen is survived by her loving husband Kurt Carlson, father Richard Munro; son Jacob Mitchell and partner Samone; daughter Heidi Carlson; son Kristopher Carlson and partner Sandra; twin sons Daniel and Jonathon Carlson, and daughter Willow Robbins-Carlson; grandchildren Jasmyne her partner Tristan and daughter Violet; Amelia, Brodie, and Ivan. Laureen also leaves behind siblings, Patti, Rick, and Scott along with numerous nieces, nephews extended family, and friends who all loved her dearly. In addition, she will also be missed by two very special pets, cat Sugar and dog Moxie. A celebration of her life will be held in the Summer of 2022 where we can share stories of our love for this great lady. Memorial contributions in her honor can be made to The Willow Robbins-Carlson NextGen Education fund 50 Smart Road Belfast, Maine 04915 Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.ripostafh.com
