BELFAST — Avis M. Hall, 91, of Trescott Township, died peacefully Sept. 27, 2021, with her daughter by her side. She was born Sept. 26, 1930, to Austin and Geneva (Morse) Bryant. Avis was predeceased by her husband, Norman Robert Hall, a son, George Austin Hall, and sisters Ruth Ripley, Katherine Spaulding, Arline Trenholm, Beatrice Lee, and brothers Richard, Ronald, Raymond, Arnold, and Lloyd Bryant. You could always catch her smiling face at flea markets and yard sales. She exploded with joy during the holidays with her fun decorations and her cakes to match the holiday. She shared her love of cooking, gardening, and canning with her daughter and granddaughters. Hands down, she made the best bread and butter pickles, corn chowder, and banana cream pie that you would ever taste. For many years Avis worked at Tall Pines Rehabilitation center in Belfast as a cook. It suited her servant's heart. She enjoyed bingo, staying busy, and loved her family. Avis is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann McGuire, and husband Shawn; granddaughters, Adriana and husband Will, Samantha and husband Joshua; three great-grandchildren, Hunter and Scarlet Harrison and Joshua Martindale; her sister Virginia Whitney and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at Grove Cemetery in Belfast on Oct. 23 at 10 a.m. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.ripostafh.com
