Obituary of Rose Mary Newton

ROSE MARY NEWTON, 64, passed away September 17, 2021, at home surrounded by family and her beloved dog, Rusty. She was born in Washington, Maine on March 28, 1957. Rose worked many years doing factory work at Penobscot Poultry and Maritime Farms. She enjoyed shopping, thrift stores and yard sales. She had a great love for pit bulls and rescued many. She was predeceased by her parents, Ronald E. and Madeline Newton, a brother Wendell Light, and sisters Joanne LeSan and Rebecca King. She was also predeceased by the love of her life and companion of many years, Charlie Brier Jr. Rose is survived by her daughter Juice Newton and son Jesse Newton; three special grandchildren: Olivia, Matthew and Eli. She is also survived by her siblings, Deloris Newton Libby of Texas, Ronald Newton Jr. of Liberty, Eugene Newton of Belmont, Pat Bowen of Belfast, Ramona Ellsworth of Ohio, Kathy Wheeler Chaffee of Thorndike, Alice Ireland of Belfast, Ricky Newton of Searsport, David Newton of Swanville, and Harriet Huffman of Searsport; also a special sister-in-law Sally Newton of Swanville. Private services will be held for the family at a later date.
