Obituary of Rudolph Ross Carroll

Rudolph Ross Carroll Rudolph “Ross” Carroll died on July 21, 2021, just days after his 87th birthday. Ross was born in Searsport, Maine on July 17, 1934, where he lived his entire life. He graduated from Searsport High School in 1952, then served 4 years in the US Navy. He worked as a manager for Grants Department Store, then worked for St. Regis/Champion International Paper Mill until his retirement. Ross was predeceased by his beloved wife of 56 years, Irene Suddy Carroll, his parents Raymond and Beulah Carroll, his sister Nancy Carroll Hamilton, and his son Rudolph E. Carroll. He is survived by his sister Dorothy Carroll Choate and her husband Nat, and his children William Ross Carroll, Kathryn Carroll Grindle, Dorothy Ann Carroll, 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and many cousins. Ross loved bass fishing, participated in bass tournaments, and enjoyed golfing after his retirement. Arrangements are under the care of Riposta Funeral Home.
