Obituary of Cynthia A. Shorey

The family of Cynthia Ann Shorey, of Jackson, is saddened to announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend on June 13th, 2021 at the age of 62. Cindi was born in 1958 in Massachusetts, and moved to Maine at a very early age where she was raised by her mother, Nathalie Clark and stepfather Vernon (Stubby) Clark. After graduating from Mt. View High School in 1976, she spent the majority of her professional life dedicated to caring for the elderly and people with disabilities. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Tara Woods and son-in-law, Dana, as well as her siblings, many nieces, nephews and friends, especially her dearest friends Rosemary and Paula. Because our pets give us unconditional love and enrich our lives, and because Cindi was known to prefer the company of animals to most people, memorial donations can be made to a local animal shelter. Friends and family are welcome to attend a Celebration of Cynthia’s life at the Jackson Community Center on June 26th from 1pm-3pm.
