Jean was also a part of the Old Dykes Home. We were a fledgling organization attempting to figure out how we would grow old together. We did fall apart but seeds have been planted nonetheless and a lot of those seeds have come from Jean! May her Memory be a blessing!

I am so saddened to hear of Jean's passing. She was a steadfast friend who embraced spur-of-the-moment adventures. And that sense of humor! So many special times come to mind that were shared. We got a kick out of her being there for some of my later-in-life "firsts"---first colonoscopy, first root canal, first post-breakup night out. My condolences to her family and wide circle of friends. Jean was a good listener who had the gift of really hearing and understanding what was being said. She has touched so many of our hearts, and gave her love and support in so many ways. I will miss your tender spirit my friend.

Russ, Justin and all the family, condolences. It has been decades since i have seen any of you. Too many memories of Jean, i first met her at the Wards home on rt 202 through Julie Coombs who worked there too. Then of course at the Group Home. Hope you are all doing well, Jean was a big presence in the lives of many. Be well

I saw Jean frequently when she owned the JKS copy center because I worked around the corner. She was always willing to reduce prices for community educational events. She was brave to be 'out' in a then significantly more hostile environment and the whole world is a safer place because of her courage. She had a wry sense of humor. I am grateful to have known her.
Sending sympathy to her family and good friends,
Lisa Kushner
