ALTA L. BROWN, 96 of Morrill, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 1, 2021. She was born in Swanville, Maine on May 11,1924 to Charles and Flora (Hall) Lenfest. Alta attended Crosby High School, met and married Roderick Brown settling in Morrill where they raised five children together. She enjoyed word search books, board games, Bocce, cooking for her family, tobogganing in the winter and roller skating. She loved everything outdoors - gardening, picking berries and apples, tending her flowers. Alta enjoyed a trip to Disney with her family when she was in her 80s and rode every ride she could. Alta loved family get-togethers. In 2019 she was the holder of the Boston Cane for the Town of Morrill. Alta and Roderick were past members of Faith Temple Church and other churches in the area over the years where they also served in the food pantry. She loved spending time with her family and sharing stories of her childhood. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband of 58 years, Roderick Brown, sons-in-law Barry Littlefield Sr. and Larry Della Mattera and grandson Anthony Kane. Alta is survived by her children: Joanne Della Mattera of Newport, Lorraine and husband John Kane III of Massachusetts, Sharon Bouchard of Belfast, Rodene Brown and Rhonda Brown, both of Morrill; grandchildren Ron Banks Jr. and Dayong Wen, Leah Zukauskas and husband Peter, John Kane III, Courtney Keene and husband Dan, Lindsay Facey and husband Kenrick, Barry Littlefield Jr. and wife Carole, RoAnne Littlefield, Kathy Saucier and husband Barry, Angela Grass and husband Sean, Kristy Palmer and husband Leonard, Dawnielle Harriman and husband Conan; 11 great-grandchildren; special nephew Edwin Brown and niece Joyce Phibrook as well as several other nieces, nephews and cousins. Spring burial will take place at Smart Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared at ripostafh.com. Arrangements are under the care of Riposta Funeral Home.
