Obituary of Patricia Ann Johnson

Patricia Ann Johnson, 85, passed away on February 27, 2021 at the Maine Veteran’s Home in Bangor. Patricia was born in Portland Maine on December 16, 1935 to the late Lawrence and Ruby (Whitehouse) Norton. She was raised on Beals Island and then married life took her to Texas and England before settling in Belfast. Patricia proudly served in the United States Marine Corps until she married. She worked several years as a CNA in the local nursing homes in Belfast. She was an avid antiquer and loved finding information of her Norton genealogy. She loved to crochet, display her doilies and finding “Norton'' crocs. She loved her family deeply and the times they would all be together at her home, “The Gathering Place” on Mayo Street. Most days she could be found sitting on a bench at the waterfront chatting and watching the boats with an ice cream in her hand. She loved life and was a lot of fun to be around. Patricia was predeceased by her parents, her sister Eleanor Woodcock, her former husbands, Dixi P. Jacobs and Lawrence Johnson. Surviving are her children, Dixi P. Jacobs II and his wife Barbara, Shirley Kelley and her husband George, and her son Frank L. Johnson and his former wife Pam ; her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Eric, Nathan, Catherine and Christopher, her great grandchildren, Madison, Thomas and Patricia; her sister Mary Lou Look and her husband Bill; her brother-in-law Norman Woodcock and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A private celebration of Patricia’s life will take place this summer. Memories and condolences may be shared at www.ripostafh.com.
