It is with broken hearts that we announce  Rebecca (Merry) Merrithew, loving wife, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend passed away unexpectedly at her residence on January 19, 2021 at the age of 61. Becky was born on March 9,1959 in Belfast to Elwood and Delores (Surek) Merry.  She had one daughter, Heather, to whom she was very devoted along with her grandson Ashton who was the light of her life. Becky was so many things to so many people.  She loved her family and would be there for any of them if they needed her. Her nieces and nephews loved her and she loved them. Becky took great pride in them and their accomplishments. She took gentle care of her mother whenever she was with her.  Becky loved her siblings and was a second mother to them growing up. She was adored by her friends. Once you met Becky, she was your friend for life. She was a prankster and the life of every event. Becky is survived by her daughter Heather Gallant and boyfriend Shane Lake and her grandson Ashton Lake all of Belfast; mother Delores (Surek) Merry of Belfast; three brothers and their spouses including Leslie and Wendy Merry, Dennis and Tina Merry, Timothy and Pamela Merry all of Swanville; three sisters Sonja (Merry) Ward and husband Preston, Melody (Merry) Holmes, Kristi (Merry) Philbrook and husband Alva all of Belfast; many nieces and nephews too numerous name but she will be sorely missed by them. She was preceded in death by her husband Alan Merrithew and her father Elwood Merry.
