Obituary of Patricia Marie Banker
Patricia “Patty” Banker, 81 of Thorndike passed away on November 17, 2020. Patty was born on March 16, 1939 to the late Lauriston Sr., and Harriet Hustus. Patty was born in Brooks and lived there until age 4 when her family moved to Thorndike.
Patty was a talented writer and painter who loved horses and spending time with her family. She published two novels telling the story of a fictional Farewell’s Corner which many would say resembles Thorndike.
Patty was predeceased by her parents, her husband Richard Banker, her sister Lois Austin, her brother Lauriston Hustus Jr., and her 3 brothers-in-law, Everett Williams, Ernest Austin and Darwin Ludden. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law Chris and Cathy Banker, her sisters Inez Williams and Jacquie Ludden, her grandchildren Todd Lawrey and his family and Alan Kunesh and his family along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday November 23, 2020 at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast ME 04915. Visiting hours will be from 10am to 11am at which time the funeral prayer service will begin. Burial at Center Cemetery in Thorndike will immediately follow.
