Condolences to the Sprague family. Roger’s Great Grandmother was Mary Shibles and he always attended Shibles Family Reunions. In his passion for genealogy he followed Shibles as well as his own family. He and I enjoyed long discussions about ancestors. I would have visited him this last summer had Shibles Reunion not been cancelled because of COVID. I’ll surely miss our discussions. Richard Shibles

Roger was like a second Dad to me. I met Roger when I first moved to Fort Fairfield in 1981 and sang in the United Parish Church Choir of which Roger was the conductor. We spent many hours together because of our love of music. Several years ago now, we even carpooled to Orono every other week to have piano lessons with Baycka Voronietsky. He helped me finish pay off my college loans by making me his scholarship recipient that year. He was such a dear friend and one of the nicest, kindest men I have ever known. Whenever I needed to get away from the worries of the world, I would travel to Belfast and was always welcomed with open arms. He was my respite and calm in the storm. I talked with him just a short while ago and he sounded so good. I know he was 91 but this still took me by surprise. I love you and miss you, Roger. I hope you are singing with the angels.
