Joanne L. Parsons
Belfast - Joanne L. Parsons, 72, of Belfast, passed away Tuesday October 27, 2020, at Tall Pines.
She was born February 29, 1948 in Belfast, Maine, the daughter of the late Irving Parsons and the late Laura (Young) Parsons Barr.
Joanne graduated from Belfast Area High School class of 1966.
She attended Central Beauty School in Augusta and was a Beautician for many years, as well as a Human Resource Manager and worked for Stinson's Seafood as well as WCAP over her career. Joanne loved her church families where she attended over the years at both the Lutheran Church in Bangor and then to Belfast United Methodist Church.
She attended a toastmaster course in Bangor with her friend Butch Littlefield. Joanne was scheduled to go to the Lifetime Achievement awards in April to receive an award before COVID cancelled the event.
Survivors include sister Tammy Barr of Belfast; aunts and uncles Mildred, Sheldon, Charlie, Harold, and Pete; several cousins Judy, Sheridy, Linda, Susan, Brenda, Ernie, Mac, David, Martin, Danny, Richard, Jeannie, Mischelle, and many other special family and friends too numerous to name.
A graveside will be held on Wednesday, November 4th at 1:00 PM at Grove Cemetery in Belfast
The family would like to thank the staff at Tall Pines for the wonderful care Joanne received there, as well as the WCGH Dialysis Unit and the Maine Health Hospice staff.
