On Saturday, October 17th, 2020, Phyllis Blake, loving wife and mother of three children, passed away at the age of 85. Phyllis was born September 12th, 1935, in Belfast, Maine to Charles and Mabel Knowlton. Family meant everything to her, constantly doing whatever she could for her husband of 64 years, Scott, and their three children Herbert, John, and Heather. Phyllis was a devout Christian, passionate about music, and loved spending her time reading by the woodstove. Phyllis is predeceased by her parents, Mabel and Charles, sisters, Josephine, Betty, and Adeline, brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Dot, and granddaughter, Kayla. She is survived by her husband, Scott Blake, brother, Charles Knowlton, children, Herbert Blake and his wife Kim, John Blake, and Heather Flanders and her husband James, her grandchildren, Nicholas Bowden, Erin Blake and Kyle Blake and her great grandchildren, Isabella Bowden, Elizabeth Bowden and their mother, Nichole Bowden. Phyllis was a humble person who never liked a lot of attention, to honor that her remembrance will be kept simple. There will be a small gathering of family and friends Sunday, November 1st, 2020, from 12noon to 4PM at 42 Bear Mountain Way, Swanville, Maine.
