RANDOLPH , MAINE Richard J. Lachance Sr. - age 73, died September 14, 2020 peacefully at home with his family by his side. He was born in Augusta, Maine on September 25, 1946 the son of Adelbert Lachance and Bertha (Gilbert) Lachance. Richard was educated in the Augusta school system. Prior to his retirement, he worked in the construction business. In 1989 he and his wife fulfilled his life long dream of being a business owner and opened Richards Lounge and years later Bridge Street Tavern. He was a longtime member of the Calumet Club, Elks Club, Eagles Club, and the Gardiner Sportmans Club. Richard was an avid card player and when you couldn’t find him playing cards you’d find him making memories with his family. Richard was predeceased by his parents, three sisters: Pauline Riendeau, Lucille Bastille and Simone Riendeau; and three brothers: Roland, Norman and Robert Lachance. Surviving is his wife, his special angel Brenda (Drummond) Lachance; children: Richard Lachance Jr, Carl Lachance, Michele (Lachance) Breton and her husband Brad Breton. Grandchildren: Lianna and Sarah Lachance, Madison Toulouse, Jayden Ashley, Brendan, Kaiden, Mylee and Graycen Breton. One brother Donald Lachance and several nieces and nephews. There are no visiting hours scheduled. Spring burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Gardiner, Maine. In lieu of flowers, donations of memorial in Richards name can be made to MaineGeneral HomeCare & Hospice.
